Printing with purpose for Work Ltd
This year we have been supporting one of our most admirable local organisations WORK Ltd. WORK Ltd is a Sheffield based charity that offers students with learning disabilities a chance to reach their full potential by developing occupational skills through projects like gardening, sewing and up-cycling. The students at WORK Ltd are encouraged to get involved with the organisations on site café (Hidden Gem) and giftware shops (Kreate and Etsy) designing items including glass ornaments, birdhouses and greetings cards during supported craft workshops.

In a recent project, students at WORK Ltd have been building collages, created over a number of months with snippets of colour and textures taken from their own photographs. The final result is an amazing range of images representing different seasons and themes (see examples above and below).
To champion the fantastic student artwork at WORK Ltd Loxleys has donated printed ‘Thank You’ cards featuring the collages, which will be added to orders of handmade homeware and gifts, both in their shop and to post out to Etsy customers, with the aim or raising awareness of the charity.
