Our History

Established in 1854 by two brothers: William and Edward Loxley, our business started out life as a stationers and printers, located in Fargate Sheffield City Centre.

By 1921, due to continued growth and expansion, the printing arm of our business transferred to a larger premises. Originally built as a Victorian empire roller skating rink, Loxleys acquired the 45,000 square foot Altlas Printing Works on the then Aizlewood Road (now Kiln Street) and this is where the business remains today!

In1980 we made our move into specialist greeting card production, and so began our relationship with our first greeting card customer; Celebration Arts of Corby.

From 2000 Loxleys focuses solely on end to end greeting card production with a complete and diverse range of in-house processes, including full sheet and single card foiling, embossing, die-cutting, cold foiling, and flittering, specialist folding, single and multipack wrapping, inline labelling and inserting. In recent years we have developed comprehensive digital printing and a complete in-house range of environmentally friendly printing techniques, finishing alternatives, and much more.

Our heritage has contributed to the brand we are today and will continue to contribute to shaping our brand long into the future as we continually evolve to meet our customers needs.
